What the clients say
Many thanks to Slawek who
Many thanks to Slawek who was speaking to our camera club for the second time. It was a very enjoyable evening and there were great images. He shared his methods and techniques on both taking and editing the images. Our members appreciated his skill and will be inspired to try to emulate some of his Landscape images.
Lewes Camera club.
We contacted Slawek to photograph
We contacted Slawek to photograph a Hindu religious maternity function. He met with us virtually prior to the event to discuss what we wanted. He arrived punctually and was professional throughout, catering to our needs.
The photographs were beautiful – there was a good variety of photos, all of good quality, artistic and colourful. We would use his services again.
Thank you Slawek!
Cityscape workshop
A very enjoyable day on Saturday. It was good to be part of a group, it was fun and good not have that self-consciousness when photographing alone.
Landscape workshop
I was lucky enough to be given a 1-1 workshop with Slawek as a birthday present from my wife. I had a number of email conversations with Slawek before we met up in Lewes, which set us up nicely for the afternoon ahead. He knew a little of my experience and ability and I knew what to expect.
That being said, the day exceeded my expectations. Slawek’s explanations regarding the use of histograms, camera settings and most importantly composition using telephoto lenses were illuminating. The light could have been better, but it was my choice to go this time of year. All in all a really useful and enjoyable day from an excellent photographer/teacher.
I was so impressed I’ve enrolled my wife in a beginners camera course with Slawek!
South Downs afternoon
I was at a Landscape talk by Slawek and asked him to run a South Downs workshop for a small group of friends. It was a new style for me, using a long zoom to compose on a smaller area the view and excluding any sky. (I’ve previously gone very wide, with big skies). As well as composition, Slawek gave coaching on exposure and using the histogram, plus camera settings when needed. Even though the weather wasn’t completely with us, I’m quite pleased with the images and I learned some techniques which I will endeavour to put into practice. It was a relaxed, enjoyable afternoon too.
Inspiring landscapes
Slawek came to talk to us in April 2024, and it is testament to the quality of his presentation skills, that this is the second time he has been invited to talk to us. This was a special presentation for us because we now invite select speakers to come back and judge a round in our competition, hoping our members have been inspired by what they have heard and seen. Slawek walked us through some forty images, explaining the principles of landscape photography and what we should be thinking about when we want to create an image. The images were stunning, and his explanations were clear, concise and very helpful. Everyone in the meeting enjoyed the talk, and the information will, without doubt, have helped them on their photographic journey
Landscape: from idea to post production
Many thanks to Sławek for a return presentation to our club. He shared what inspires him to make his images and how he goes about it. There was also a step-by-step demonstration of his straightforward editing techniques. There was a lightbulb moment for me when Sławek explained how many sliders/controls manage contrast, albeit in different ways. I know several club members (including myself) have joined Sławek on his workshops and I’m sure many will be doing so again.
The Art of Seeing
This was the second time that Slawek has visited our club and it was every bit as good as the first. His detailed discussions of how he sees and constructs his photographs were fascinating and really got members thinking and discussing. I hope we have the chance to welcome him again.
Fantastic South Downs session
Many thanks to Slawek for taking a group of us to some hidden areas of the South Downs which are marvellous for landscape photography. His patience and expertise ensured that new techniques and perspectives were passed on seamlessly. The experience was fun and relaxed for everyone. A great combination of encouragement, inspiration and the passing on of technical prowess.
South Downs Telephoto landscape workshop
Workshop on 3rd June was my second under the tutelage and guidance of Slawek and it was every bit as good as the first. Slawek identified the best compositions in each area and was quick to suggest settings and angles. His knowledge of the genre and camera settings required is invaluable. I would highly recommend joining a workshop with Slawek.

Shoreham seascapes
Excellent day, with the right amount of guidance and encouragement from Slawek.
Slawek suggested some changes to my usual long exposure seascape which I really like and provided another perspective on them, and will use this as an option in future.
This was my second workshop with Slawek and plan another, I highly recommend them. The company of other photographers was great as well with a good bunch of people on both trips.
I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop
I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and learned so much from Slawek, who was very friendly and patient. I would highly recommend his workshops!
Shoreham workshop
Brilliant day and despite being overcast managed to capture some really good shots with the advice and assistance from Slawek whose knowledge and expertise clearly knows no bounds. We visited different areas within Shoreham and at each Slawek was quick to advise on best camera settings and composition ideas. I Highly recommend these workshops as I have no doubt they would serve to enhance photographic skills and I, for one, will be joining others in the future.
Landscapes with a telephoto lens
My preferred lens is a 55-250mm zoom. While I’ve enjoyed much nature photography with it, I’ve seldom used it to capture landscapes. The perspectives we gained from Slawek in this regard were really insightful – and added to his great knowledge of parts of the South Downs with pleasing features. While the light wasn’t perhaps at its best, we did get some really good shots and learned enough to apply this on other occasions. Slawek is also a mine of useful knowledge on all sorts of other topics and he helped me with other techniques as we enjoyed a great day out. Well worth it!
Camera Club Talk
Slawek gave a very interesting and varied talk to our camera club that was well received. His breadth of photographic skill is very impressive and we enjoyed the variety of images and techniques shown!
Great day out on the South Downs
Slawek’s South Downs workshop was an excellent day out. We concentrated on the use of a telephoto lens to capture detailed views illuminated by sun as the cloud cover changed capturing moving shadows and highlights. I’ve often used a telephoto zoom lens for landscape photography, but not to capture these fleeting and almost sculptural perspectives and the highlights and shadows transitioned across the Downs. Slawek provided excellent guidance as the day progressed and communicated a deep knowledge of the South Downs and the application of telephoto photography to its rounded contours.
Thank you from a grateful photographer
Slawek combines a genuine passion for landscape photography with knowledge, experience and effective planning. Couple that with a relaxed, consultative style of teaching you have, at least for me, the perfect ingredients for a fun and informative day out. I have already booked my next workshop with him.
Wonderful day at Seaford Head
I spent Saturday with Slawek at Seaford Head. What a wonderful day. His huge knowledge and gentle encouragement were just right, and talking through fine details of his views on composition and lighting were fascinating. His approach was perfect, particularly the way he looked at the subtleties of light pools and other details within the image. I will definitely do another day with him
Club Presentation
We have now had two inspirational presentations from Slawek, both have opened our eyes to photo possibilities/opportunities that we would probably walk past. The demonstration of how time and position at the same location influences the image is something we all now appreciate
Presentation via Zoom in Perth Western Australia
Workshop Camera Club in Perth Western Australia was fortunate to have Slawek’s presentation via Zoom last night.
I thoroughly enjoyed his detailed explanation of the settings he regularly uses, as well as his very interesting landscapes with no sky.
I had my first workshop
I had my first workshop on the south downs with slawek and enjoyed every moment of it. The light let us down but I still learnt so much from him. I will definitely book up another workshop in the not too distant future
South Downs Landscapes
Slawek’s workshops took us to places which would be hard to find and, once we got there, his insights into how to capture the image in the best light were extremely helpful and instructive.
Nikon Owners’ South East Region webinar
Slawek’s detailed explanation of his approach to landscape photography, the techniques that he uses and how keeping it simple means defining and isolating his subject whilst understanding the effects of natural lighting is clearly very rewarding. As he said, simple is not the same as easy, although as a result we are now hoping to organise a field workshop with him.
Chichester Camera Club
Slawek recently gave a talk via Zoom to the members, detailing how to pull out the best from images. The talk was full of excellent advice and techniques mainly from just Adobe Raw. There was something there for everyone and we’re looking forward to using those tips and practices to show our images the way we imagined them to be!
Eastbourne and Canary Wharf Workshops
I have been on the two most recent workshops with Slawek.
The first was at Eastbourne and we struck lucky with the weather. I was very pleased with the photos I took that day and the advice Slawek gave on composition and using histograms. He also advised on using slow shutter speeds.
The Canary Wharf workshop was under a really grey sky all day which didn’t lend itself to taking blue hour and building architecture photos.
Nonetheless Slawek advised on alternative compositions and making the best of what was available. Another really enjoyable and helpful day.
Jeff Thomas. 22nd November 2021
A workshop offering a rich and varied selection of photographic opportunities
Despite the weather providing the dullest of grey skies, there was plenty to excite the photographer in this iconic location. Wildlife, big vistas, intimate landscapes, abstracts, take your pick. Throughout the entire workshop Slawek worked diligently to ensure that each participant received the support they required and, personally, I found his tips and advice on blue hour photography particularly invaluable. The pace of the workshop was relaxed and client focused resulting in a very enjoyable and informative experience with the added bonus of some delightful images at the end of the day. It has definitely opened up a new avenue of photography for me to explore.
Talk for Keswick Photographic society
We had a very enjoyable presentation from Slawek last night. The talk focused on both the taking of landscapes to the post processing of the RAW images. Slawek’s relaxed style suited the subject and along with his images he supplied a lot of technical information as to equipment and technique choices.
Eastbourne Workshop
I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop in Eastbourne, based around the pier and the bandstand. Slawek opened our eyes to unusual shots, not just the standard landscape, and the slow shutter speed and blue light times were excellent, with plenty of help when required.
“ Landscape Photography is Simple “ 20 September 2021
It was a pleasure to welcome Slawek for his second visit to our club. His talk, based on a simple principle quoted from Joe Cornish, TLC Timing Lighting Composition, was very inspirational. He showed us, through his superb photography, an in depth approach to light and how it influences shapes and textures. Slawek has a real affinity and understanding of the landscape.
A huge thank you from all of us.
“Case studies – ‘landscape photography from conception to post-processing”
TLC – timing, light and composition. Simple! Slawek gave us a wonderful presentation with emphasis on light and how it affects an image. A whole new approach on timing and composition was inspirational to say the least.
A very well received evening by our members and therefore a big thank you once again!

It is simple….but not so easy!
We enjoyed a very informative presentation from Slawek last night – he explains why Landscape Photography is essentially simple – but you have to understand the 3 basic concepts behind this – principally light. Light is everything and it was so helpful to have something we all think we understand dismantled and then re-assembled in front of our eyes whilst being illustrated by wonderful images. In the end, it is simple, but not easy, you have to work hard for that magical image. Thank you.
Landscape Photography is Simple
The talk Slawek delivered to Royston Club really brought such a good insight into how to go about photographic the landscape around you. It was really full of good practical advice demonstrated with wonderful pictures . I have enjoyed his talk very much as I am sure so did members of our Club and our Melbourn Guests..

LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY IS SIMPLE
Last night Slawek presented this talk to Hailsham Photographic Society and it proved to be a most informative meeting. He used a number of his images to demonstrate what Joe Cornish has termed TLC – Timing, Light and Composition pointing out the different nature of light and how it can affect an image and could be used to give a 3 dimensional appearance to the image. Slawek also detailed his views on relevance of timing and composition when capturing a photograph. This was a refreshing approach thoroughly enjoyed by myself and, I am sure, our members.

Capturing the South Downs
I have always admired images of the South Downs and have been keen to build my own portfolio. I have now had two 1-1 sessions with Slawek and my portfolio is well into development. Slawek has taken me to some wonderful locations and has taught me how to capture the understated beauty of the Downs. By using long telephoto shots I have been able to capture the contours of the rolling hills and make maximum use of light to emphasise texture. Slawek is engaging and enthusiastic and always keen to structure the session to meet my needs.
Talk at Whitstable Photographic Group via Zoom
Last night Slawek presented his new talk “Landscape: from idea to processing” and it was a very enjoyable evening. He went through his photos one by one, demonstrating the initial process of taking the photograph by using the correct camera settings, filters and the light on the land to get the best results. He then went through his way of post processing in order to get the results he desired. His passion for landscape photography is very evident in his photos and I am sure we all learnt something from his knowledgeable talk. Thank you from everyone at the Whitstable Photographic Group..

1:1 Workshop Stanmer Park
I’ve attended several landscape workshops with Slawek, and I always enjoy the experience. The advice that he gives is aimed to suit the needs of the individual(s). Rather than working from a script, Slawek takes time to understand what people want to gain from the workshop, their level of skill and the equipment that they have. As a result, he is able to provide advice that is relevant to the individual rather than just lecturing his customers! If you want to improve your photography in general, and your landscape photography in particular, I can highly recommend Slawek.
Storrington 2:1
We had seen and liked Slawek’s beautiful and individual landscape images of the rolling hills of Sussex, and so asked him for a 2:1 workshop specifically on telephoto landscape photography in West Sussex. That’s exactly what we got. The conditions were not ideal – cloudless sky and blazing sunshine – but he turned these to good effect with a practical demonstration of the use of polarizing filters in landscape photography (I thought I knew it all, but I didn’t!). He then generously took us round his best viewpoints in the fabulous hills above Storrington, and managed to cover every aspect including focal lengths, DOF, camera settings, identifying promising sites, time of day and season, viewpoint, composition, moment and of course light. Despite the conditions we both came away with good images that were unlike any either of us had taken before. It was an inspiring session, and we would recommend this workshop to anyone who loves the Sussex Downs, but finds it hard to turn it into eye-catching landscape photographs. It is hard not to share Slawek’s enthusiasm.
Bishop’s Waltham Photographic Society talk
Slawek gave an excellent and informative on-line presentation on Landscape photography to our members. His explanation on how to interpret different light within a scene so that the resulting image appears 3 dimensional was clear and illustrated with some fantastic images from the South Downs as well as further afield. He also gave us good insight into his thought processes for composition.
Slawek was very capable in adapting his presentation to the on-line environment and our members greatly enjoyed the evening.
Thank you from Bishops Waltham Photographic Society. Rona Bassett,

Storrington Workshop
Slawek has an uncanny ability to find dramatic lighting and stunning viewpoints that make even the humblest of landscapes stand out. He recently gave such an inspiring talk at Haslemere Camera Club that a group of us immediately arranged to go one one of his workshops and a couple of weeks later we duly arrived at Storrington. Conditions were not great but we persevered and did get some good lighting and great photographs. During the workshop Slawek went out of his way to engage with every member of the group, irrespective of their experience, providing guidance on camera craft, visualisation and composition which we all enjoyed.
Birling Gap and the Seven Sisters
On a cold windy afternoon in March I arranged a photographic lesson with Slawek which at first I hoped would be cancelled due to the cold conditions.
The weather was dull and grey not good photographic conditions.
However we went on the walk to the beach and discussed what we were hoping to get out of the lesson my main problem was composition.
Not only did I get a better idea about composition also the technical side as well.
I took three images which i was very pleased with.
I will certainly contact Slawek again for another workshop.
Cuckmere Haven Landscape Workshop
On a very grey, cold, and windy afternoon Slawek showed me what could be achieved, even in these difficult photographic conditions. Prior to the workshop Slawek took the time to understand what I hoped to learn during the afternoon and he ensured that he covered all of that and more. He provided guidance on composition, camera settings, and his approach to post processing. In summary a very enjoyable and instructive afternoon which I am sure will help me in my future photography projects.
Thank you Slawek.
Worthing Workshop with Slawek
Slawek is a talented photographer and I was pleased for the opportunity to join his workshop in Worthing. He gave me the long looked for guidance round the selection of the best aperture and shutter speed, together with composition to improve my images. He was very patient and thorough in his teaching. The weather was cold and grey with very little sunlight. But I have gained considerably from this workshop together with a couple of good images. I will definitely join one of his workshops in the future.
Talk at Battle Photographic Society 9th Dec.2019
We were very pleased to welcome Slawek to Battle Photographic Society on 9th December 2019. This was the first time he has come to give a talk at one of our meetings and this time he gave a talk “Landscape Photography is Simple”. Members certainly enjoyed this talk, and his images, especially capturing light on the South Downs. We have already arranged for Slawek to return next year to give another of his photographic talks. Thank You Slawek for a most enjoyable and informative evening.
Purchasing prints/Sunrise downs near Alfiston
It was great to meet Slawek in the local art gallery in Shoreham as I’d wanted a larger print of one of his photos for some time.
I’m absolutely delighted with the results of the A3 sized print called ‘Sunrise downs near Alfriston.’ The colours are accurately rendered from the original and it came mounted and ready for framing. I could have opted for framing too.
And it looks great as I’ve positioned the pic on a wall, so that as the sun comes through it highlights the depth of colours, making the picture pop in all the right places.
It’s such a lovely view to wake up to and see every morning.
Slawek organised the print and mounting and was very generous with his time in checking that the print would meet my expectations. I am a very satisfied customer. Thank you!
2 to 1 Landscape/Seascape session
My son and I have just enjoyed a sunrise session at the coast and on the South Downs.
Slawek took us to very photogenic locations, some off the beaten track, giving us many tips and advice throughout the morning. We learned more about the use of filters, composition and the use of light among other things.
He has a very helpful, friendly and easy manner and is to be thoroughly recommended.
Richard Gage.
Talk at Oxford photographic society
Slawek’s talk on landscape photography was excellent with some great landscape images and an insight into his thought processes in taking pictures. His explanation of neutral density filters and how and when to use them was clear and gave some of our more experienced members some food for thought. We will certainly be inviting him back.

Photoshoot in Midhurst and Review.
A group from Roehampton club went on a photoshoot with Slawek on the 10th October, apart from not great weather we all had an interesting day. Slawek made time to help all of us with composition, using filters +++ what is also good was that he did not have a camera with him so we had his undivided attention.
The following week Slawek attended the club and we had a review of our photos and he gave constructive criticism which we all found extremely helpful.
We hope to organise another trip with him to Canary Wharf for the blue hour.
Another fine talk to our club
Slawek has visited us at Steyning Camera Club twice now and has shown us his fascinating pictures from places on the South Downs near us that most of our members didn’t even know about! Meanwhile, some of our longer-serving members have been on, and enjoyed, his local landscape walks and demonstrations.
He’s inspirational for our newer members as he generally keeps his pictures simple – things that beginners can pick up easily. Another well-timed talk, he’s always welcome to visit us.
Thanks again from Steyning CC,
Geoff, Programme Secretary
Landscape Talk to Horley Camera Club 18/9/19
Thanks Slawek from Horley Camera Club for your very interesting and informative talk about landscape photography with emphasis on light and shadow. Some of our members have attended your workshops and I am sure many more will do so following your visit. We enjoyed seeing your fabulous images especially as many of them were of the South Downs practically on our doorstep.
Many thanks Horley Camera Club
1-2-2 Landscape Walk
I asked Slawek to share some of his landscaping skills with my friend and I as it’s a genre of photography I don’t often spend enough time doing. I’d met him a couple of times when he was giving presentations at my local PhotoClub and was impressed by his photos, knowledge and easy manner. We were taken to a lovely location and he spent time talking to us about a range of useful tips about light, filters and composition+++. Many Thanks Slawek, and look forward to spending more time with you soon.
Landscape Talk to LOGS 15.5.19
Slawek came by invitation and expectation to our small group of elderly amateur enthusiasts . Two of whom had been on workshops with Slawek previously. We were treated to a really interesting and challenging afternoon, which was beautifully illustrated with excellent photos to make the point. Thank you Slawek, we really enjoyed it and now have to go into action and test out the theory for ourselves, trust we listened well!
Great knowledge, generously shared thank you.
Photo session
Many thanks for the photo session of two bedroom flat. Photos are very professional – beautiful composition of lights and shadows. Thanks again.
Thanks
Thank you for a very enjoyable evening last Wednesday. Members have commented since what a small world it is ( your Swiss photos were from a Canton where the husband of one of our members was born!) and many of us were inspired to try those early mornings which so mark your work! We’ll see if that happens!
South Downs 1:1
Splendid outing yesterday on the South Downs with Slawek. Beautiful scenery and lots of photo opportunities all close at hand. Slawek works hard to find interesting compositions and light, and encourages you to try different things – all done in a gentle way with lots of help. I made it hard for him as I was shooting in infrared which isn’t his normal genre but he picked up its quirks very quickly. I can certainly recommend him for 1:1 outings.
1:1, Group workshop and Skype Photoshop tuition
I contacted Slawek after admiring his wonderful landscapes on his website, especially the telephoto landscapes. Since then I have done 1:1 close by Wilmington and group in Hastings as well as Skype photoshop sessions. He is a patient, excellent teacher with in-depth knowledge. I find 1:1 Skype is the ideal way to gain extra knowledge on photoshop. I can highly recommend his workshops.
21st May
Thank you for a most interesting afternoon. You gave everyone plenty of time and tips on how to get the most out of the session so that our photography moved forward.
Workshops
I’ve now been on 3 workshops with Slawek. He’s always prepared to share his knowledge to help photographers of all levels. He is very attentive and keen to ensure you leave satisfied. Very good value and I can highly recommend him.
South Downs Workshop
Thank you Slawek, for a great afternoon, for your patience, your attention and your persistence with challenging conditions.
I know that the little tips and tricks you gave us will enhance my landscape photography greatly. I’ve even ordered a ND filter :-).
thanks again
Debra
Framed Prints
Thank you so much for all your help when I was choosing the prints.
My husband was really pleased with them and so was I. I feel lucky to have found your photos and great service.
Thanks
Eastbourne workshop
My afternoon workshop in Eastbourne with Slawek was a bit disappointing, but only because it was cold, and the sky was uninspiring. Slawek helped us all in turn, making sure that we had the right camera settings; he lent me a big stopper, the first time I had been able to try one, and helped us all to improve our compositions.
I will certainly book with Slawek again.

Brighton workshop
Loved this first workshop with Slawek and looking forward to doing another. No matter what your skill level he was able to advise how to improve as photographer.
Workshop Canary Wharf
Brilliant workshop. Learnt a lot, some great images and also good fun. Will definitely go again.
Workshops
I have now attended two of Slawek workshops, they have both been great value , he is a real professional who is ready to pass on his immense skill to others. He is able to quickly identify your skill level and make appropriate suggestions that will allow you to develop as a photographer. Ray Evans
Cuckmere Haven 28/10/17
We spent an enjoyable and informative afternoon with Slawek at Cuckmere Haven on Saturday. The weather was kind and the light was very good. Slawek showed us the best angles from which to take our images and made very helpful suggestions about composition and camera settings and calmly and efficiently ensured that we got the most from our time with him.
Photoshoot with Slawek
I was looking to do take photos in Sussex and when I was google searching photographers I came across Slawek. Had a great day with him taking photos of the Coastal Cottages & the Seven Sisters. Very professional and informative with a great eye! Thanks Slawek.
Maidstone Camera Club
Slawek came to our club at short notice, what a fantastic evening. Very well structured talk with lots of information, some amazing images. A photographer who thinks out the box and gets results.
Good Evening with Slawek
Slawek gave us a great evening at Folkestone Camera Club. He showcased beautiful, well constructed images and emphasised how to get it right in camera. He gave all the information we needed to get started with filters in camera, the sales in them will now rocket! An excellent Camera Club presentation from a true professional.
Tutorial at Seaford
I had the most interesting and informative day with Slawek. It is the first time I had met him. He is very engaging with great personality. A session like today was a great way to understand and improve my photography. I am looking forward to the next session with him.
1:1 Sessions
I highly recommend having 1:1 sessions with Slawek. He was not only very knowledgeable but also extremely encouraging. The sessions were fast paced, tailored to my needs and very enjoyable. I can’t wait to go back for more – I know there’s so much more I can learn from him. Thanks Slawek!
South Downs, Berwick workshop
I attended my second workshop with Slawek. Previous Bosham, this time South Downs, Berwick; only 3 other people so he was able to devote a lot of time to each person, suggesting views which I had not seen, and open to suggestions as to thoughts on my views and images. Very approachable and friendly.
Petworth Workshop
Having attended the re-arranged workshop I can report that the wait was well worth it. Slawek is not only highly talented but is very patient and thorough in his teaching. I have gained considerable knowledge and a few (for me) good images. I will definitely join one of his workshops in the future.
Creative landscape lecture
Slawek gave a an excellent talk this week to Kingston Camera Club. He showed great images and shared many helpful ideas and tips to stimulate us to get out and photograph the landscape. As a bonus he brought along his lenses and filters. Note that he has completely updated his talk so if you haven’t heard him for a while it’s worth getting him back.
Dungeness Workshop
I attended this workshop as I have wanted to go there for years. I have been following Slawek on social media for years & wanted to learn some of his techniques. The workshop didn’t disappoint. After many years of taking photographs set on automatic Slawek was kind & patient showing me how to use the settings & so now I have the foundations, I hope that my photographs will improve in depth now. A fantastic area for a workshop. I met some lovely people on the workshop too. I hope to be able to attend more workshops in time. Thank you.
Lecture
11th November 2016
Slawek travelled to Overton North Hampshire, he gave a talk on his work Landscape and Architectural Photography. WOW was that good, I’m sure we will have a return visit at some point, I would recommend his talk to any club, and he is also a very nice man. Thanks Slawek 10 out of 10.
Excellent one-on-one instruction
While visiting the Sussex area, I looked for photo workshops on the Internet, and Slawek’s looked most interesting. Unfortunately the time wasn’t right so I chose a 1-on-1 workshop. I’m maybe an intermediate photographer, it is still a hobby- My main interest was lighting and composition, and this time with Slawek greatly added to my understanding and enthusiasm. And my pictures are much better. We did landscapes. I hope to do buildings with Slawek’s on next trip. It was great.
Ditchling Workshop July 10th 2016
Slawek is the ideal choice for a workshop on the South Downs: he has many beautiful images of his own and has built up an understanding of the area over several years – he really knows how to bring unwieldy undulations and seemingly random trees into a cohesive whole. He was kind, patient and calm with an intelligent approach towards the technical aspects and a deep understanding of the aesthetics. We didn’t experience the best light but it didn’t particularly matter as the workshop was so enjoyable and informative, his teaching was clear and friendly and he was highly sensitive to our varying levels of experience. Most importantly, everyone received masses of individual attention. It was great. I’ve booked another.
Presentation at Horsham Photographic Society 8 June 2016
Thank you on behalf of Horsham Photographic Society for your fascinating and inspiring talk on Landscape and Architectural Photography.
In addition to some wonderful images, your explanation of technique and demonstration of filters made for an enjoyable and informative evening. Your passion and dedication to the genre is an inspiration!

Talk to Maidenhead Camera Club
Slawek gave an excellent and informative talk “Creative Landscape Photoraphy” to Maidenhead Camera Club last week. He brought his equipment along, including lens and filters and demonstrated and really inspired the Club in the use of various filters on camera. All the way through he showed his excellent and atmospheric pictures. It is very obvious he is a passionate and talented (and patient) landscape photographer.
Steyning and South Downs Workshops 7/8 May 2016
I thoroughly enjoyed both the workshops I attended and learned a lot more about my camera and it’s settings as well as how to improve my photography, especially composition. The scenery on the South Downs was beautiful and I shall be regularly revisiting the area during the different seasons. Slawek is very patient and ensures he gives each student one to one time.
I look forward to attending more workshops in the future.
Telephoto landscapes workshop
Slawek originally postponed the workshop as the weather was not looking good. He made the right decision as the light on the day all six of us met up was just right.
We all had different levels of skill with our cameras and our approaches to composition and Slawek tailored his tuition accordingly. As a result I know we all got a lot out of the workshop.
This is an ideal workshop for anyone who wants to learn how to take great landscapes with their telephoto lens.
Canary Wharf Workshop 16 April 2016
I really enjoyed the workshop at Canary Wharf and got some very useful advice from Slawek regarding composition, exposure and use of filters. I gained an understanding of using the histogram. I really enjoyed the taking some long exposures of Canary Wharf. I would certainly consider undertaking another workshop. Enjoyable and informative.
Birling Gap Workshop
Despite the weather, I found the workshop at Birling Gap very helpful. You gave me good advice on composing subjects an making the best of the poor light. I am looking forward to your next workshop at Falmer.
Richmond Visit
Hi Slawek,
Thanks for your visit to Richmond and Twickenham Photographic Society on 13 January 2016. The members were very impressed with the images that were presented on the evening considering that very little post processing was done to them. You provided some very useful tips and hopefully the members will now make use of them. Thank you.
Eastbourne Workshop 23/01/16
HI Slawek,
Thank you for some very helpful tips. The workshop had to be rescheduled due to poor winter weather and we were not too lucky with a dull misty day. However, the challenge of photography in non-optimal conditions was a great way to learn camera control and we all learned much from you. Despite the dull weather, I did manage to get several pleasing shots of Eastbourne pier. Many thanks & all the best.
Steve
Seven Sisters Camera Club
Hi Slawek, a huge thank you from all of us at Seven Sisters Camera Club for a most beautiful presentation on the 4th of January, covering local landscapes and foreign travels.I love your approach to photography, where you place more importance on capturing the picture right at the time rather than rely heavily on post processing techniques. Hi Slawek,
Just a big thank you for my 1:2:1 tuition session yesterday. I learned more about my camera and how to take a properly exposed image in a few hours than in the past 5 years! You patiently covered a range of topics from how to set up my camera, composition, use of filters and long exposures. I’m now looking forward to getting my own tripod and Lee filters to get out and use my new skills etc. I will be joining one of the group sessions to practice learn further in the near future. I highly recommend your tuition to photographers!!
Fotografia
Świetne, bajkowe zdjęcia. Najbardziej podobają mi się zdjęcia z naszej pięknej Gdyni.
Club talk
Hi Slawek,
Many thanks for talking for 2 hours at our club, despite you feeling below par. We had a great turnout, despite being so Landscape focused. Personally I really was impressed how you search out good light areas in your shots, rather than dodge the relevant areas afterwards.

He patiently covered a range of topics from how to set up my camera, composition, use of filters and long exposures. Birling Gap workshop 25/1/15
This was the second workshop I’ve enjoyed with Slawek and once again he seems to pull out all the stops to ensure everyone comes away with some great images and having learnt a lot about the craft. It doesn’t seem to matter what level you are at or whether you’ve been out with him before, there’s always new tips and techniques. The workshops are so enjoyable, Slawek’s enthusiasm is infectious and the individual attention you get is fantastic. His passion, expertise and good nature come together to create a great day, highly recommend a trip out with him.

Saltdean Workshop 26 July
An excellent workshop with Slawek. As a fellow Canon user he was able to help me set up my camera with a Custom Setting and also showed me how to use the back button focussing method. He devided his time between the whole group, helping and advising and showing us how to get the best out of the ND filters, explaining the importance of using the histogram to check exposure, and tailoring his advice depending on the knowledge of each member of the group. Sadly the weather didn’t really play ball with a rather bland sky and few interesting shadows, but nevertheless his knowledge shone through. Would certainly recommend Slawek’s workshops, and will be returning for another one sometime soon.
Photo workshops with Slawek
This was my second workshop with Slawek and have found both to be extremely useful. Slawek soon works out your level of skill and offers advice to improve your knowledge and technique. I will definitely return for further workshops. Thank you Slawek.
Photo Workshops in Sussex
Joining several of Slawek’s workshops has been a terrific learning experience and has brought my understanding of landscape photography to a new level; including the value of filters in landscape photography. He is extremely knowledgeable both of photographic techniques and where to find great locations, and gives advice and support as appropriate. Highly recommended.
Gracias
