Venice Photography Workshop 22-26 January 2020 (8 spaces available)

Cityscape, architecture and "blue hour" photography workshop in Venice

Dorsoduro, Venice Photography Workshop 2020

Join my 4-day Venice Photography Workshop 22nd-26th January 2020 and hone your photography skills in this unique city.

Best time of year to visit Venice! The lowest numbers of tourists around, and it’s easy to get up for the Blue Hour in the morning.

Check-in on 22nd January afternoon/evening, depending on your inbound flight.

Then on 23rd, 24th and 25th: a dawn/early morning session 6.30am-9.30am. After that free time during the day, and an afternoon/evening session 3pm-6pm.

On 26th January: blue hour and sunrise session and check-out by 10am.

Some of the landmarks and vantage points we’ll cover:

  • Ponte dell’Accademia
  • Rialto Bridge
  • Scalzi Bridge
  • Bridge of Sighs
  • San Marco square and Campanile
  • San Giorgio Maggiore church
  • (views from) Giudecca
  • Fondaco dei Tedeschi viewing terrace
  • Murano and Burano islands
  • countless small and less popular canals and bridges, esp. in Dorsoduro and Cannaregio

A whole range of focal lengths will be useful for this workshop: from ultra-wide to telephoto. Apart from that a tripod will be indispensable, and I’d also suggest a remote.

Additionally, filters (polarising and ND grads) may be useful, but not necessary. So if you have any doubts whether your equipment will be good, do get in touch.

Besides, if you bring your laptop with imaging software on this trip, I can also help you with image editing. Between the morning and evening photo sessions.
